The design of this commercial fit-out involved an amalgamation of two tenancies which resulted in a ‘wet core’ located in the centre of the floor plan. The intent was to express the core by wrapping it in a steel mesh and allowing greenery to gradually work its way around it. All other design gestures made within the space had to address light; ensuring natural light would reach every corner of the floor plan.

To juxtapose the heaviness and solidity of the central core, we proposed to use open stud framing and polycarbonate as a means of softening and blurring the transition between spaces whilst ensuring light would not be blocked out.
