Our client for this townhouse project was our ongoing construction partner Bruce Construction Design.

Together we aimed to create a high quality townhouse development in a leafy and somewhat conservative suburb, known for its characterful cottages.

A much-loved local playground is a short walk away, and the local primary school sits diagonally opposite, making this a popular area for young, growing families.

The corner site offered the chance to maximise long northern aspects for passive solar design, and living spaces open to generous and private gardens for entertaining and play.

The two-storey sections feature brick walls on the lower levels for passive thermal performance and thermal mass with lightweight corrugated cladding and sections of weatherboard above.

These materials reference the local cottage vernacular in a contemporary way, embedding this new development into its established neighbourhood.
