Our Hinderwell House has received quite a bit of media attention lately, including stories on The Design Files and Perth Now websites.

In the Perth Now article, Amy and Wynand explained how they originally set out to buy an existing home, but couldn’t find one in their budget that was also eco-friendly enough for them.

And Matt described how the resulting design solution – a small-footprint home on a compact block – was not only better for the environment, but a cost-effective way to own a home, especially given traditional housing was now so pricey.

“If you build a small home that is highly detailed it may still cost a lot, of course, but if you are thoughtful with the design and plan it out efficiently you can achieve a fantastic home without having to spend nearly as much and without losing out on amenity,” he said.
